Trying to find the energy in calories but, I don't understand the last part of the formula. Please help!

energy in calories = (mass of water)(change in water temperature)(0.001 Cal/g·°C)
Food Item: Peanut
Mass Of Food (g): 0.3
Mass Of Water (g): 51.4
Initial Water Temperature (°C): 21.2
Final Water Temperature (°C): 39.8
Energy (calories): ???

Answer:

Energy: (51.4)(39.8-21.2)(0.001) = 0.956Cal/g°C
