Viruses are not living things. One reason viruses are not alive is because they require a host to survive and reproduce. A second reason a virus is not alive is because they do not stimuli. A final reason that a virus is not alive is that they are not made up of cells. All living things can reproduce without a host, are made up of cells and react to stimuli except viruses, so they are not living.
