3x² - 12 = 0 ( add 12 to both sides )

3x² = 12 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x² = 4 ( take the square root of both sides )

x = ±
√(4) = ± 2

Thus x- intercepts are at (- 2, 0 ) and (2, 0 )

To find the y- intercept (f(x)) let x = 0, thus

f(0) = 3 × 0² - 12 = 0 - 12 = - 12

Thus y- intercept at (0, - 12 )
