3x + 6 - 2x = -2
2(2 - 4) = 16

1 . 3x + 6 - 2x = -2 . (combine like terms)

x + 6 = -2 (isolate the variable)

-6 -6

x = -8 *x doesn't equal - 4*

2. 2(2 - 4) = 16 (distributive property)

2 - 8 = 16

-6 = 16

since theres no x in the equation its not a possible answer .

3 . (x + 6) 3 = - 6

this one also isn't a proper equation to find x

4. -x + 4 = 3 (isolate the variable)

-4 -4

-x = -1

/x . /x

x= -1
