Given :

Janelle is viewing an image of a sculpture. She enlarges it using a scale of 0.2 cm to 1/8 ft.

To Find :

How many centimetres in the image are used to show 1 foot of the sculpture.

Solution :

Ratio of enlargement is :

R=\frac{\text{Size in feet}}{\text{Size in cm}}\\\\R=((1)/(8))/(0.2)\\\\R=(5)/(8)\ ft/cm

Let, enlarged size of 1 foot required x cm of image.

(1)/(x)=(5)/(8)\\\\x=(8)/(5)\\\\x=1.6\ cm

Therefore, 1.6 cm of image is required.

Hence, this is the required solution.
