2(4s-16)-5s= -5 What is S?

s=9

Explanation:

Rearrange the equation by subtracting what is to the right of the equal sign from both sides of the equation :

2*(4*s-16)-5*s-(-5)=0

Pull out like factors :

4s - 16 = 4 • (s - 4)

Pull out like factors :

3s - 27 = 3 • (s - 9)

3 • (s - 9) = 0

Solve : s-9 = 0

Add 9 to both sides of the equation :

s = 9

Idk if this is confusing but I know the answer.
