Maybe push or pull an object with a large amount of mass? you are force a (pushing through object) aka making contact. i hope i helped not good with physics :)

when you take a balloon and rub it against your head. as soon as the balloon makes contact with something that allows electricity, the balloon makes friction and makes your hair stand up
