Answer:

First you would have to combine the numbers that are the same, so combine all the X's and the other numbers, with out a variable (without an X). The numbers with X are 2x and -4x, so you add them, you should have 2x (2+ (-4)= 2) your equation should look like this : 2x + 36 - 10= 10

Next you need to combine the other numbers, 36 and -10, add them, and you should get 26. Your problem should look like this 2x+26=10

Next you will need to subtract 26 from each side, what you do to one side of the equal sign you must do to the other. Your problem should look like this : 2x=-16

To find X you have to get X alone, so you have to divide how many x's there are, 2, so divide both sides by 2 (rembering that what you do to one side you must do to the other). So you should have x= -8

First, you would combine to 2x and 4x (which makes -2x), then combine 36 and -10 (which makes 26). You are left with the equation -2x+26=10. After finding the equation, you’d subtract 26 from both sides, which would make the equation -2x=-16. Divide both sides by -2, and after you do that you should get your answer x=8.
