Identify the parts of an experiment in the scenario below.

Hailey was doing an experiment in her lab. The experiment involved identifying which type of water would be best for plant growth and Hailey believed that tap water would be the best. She decided that she would have three different types of water used: tap water, distilled water, and mineral water. The plants were all left in the same location in front of a window, were planted in soil from the same bag, and given the same amount of water. The plant that was watered with tap water was used as the standard for comparison. After one month, the plant that was watered with mineral water was the tallest and the plant watered with distilled water was the shortest. Hailey decided that mineral water must be the best for plant growth.
