A map of a town has no scale. You know that the distance between the post office and the park is 2 mi. On the map it is 2 in. Also, on the map you know the distance from the park to the school is 8 in. What is the actual distance in miles between the park and the school?

Explanation:

2 inches on the map => 2 miles in reality

So 8 inches on the map => 8 miles in reality.

The distance between the park and the school is 8 mi.
