Answer:

Dalits participation in the Civil Disobedience movement was very limited. The participation of Muslim political groups were lukewarm, as there was atmosphere of distrust and suspicion. The role of Sanatanis and Hindu Mahasabha was very dominant.

Dalits participation in the Civil Disobedience movement was very limited. The congress ignored the dalits for they feared they were offending the sanatanis, the conservative high-caste hindus.

Dalits - any member of a wide range of low-caste Hindu groups and any person outside the caste system

Caste - social class
