x=3

Explanation:

So first thing you are going to want to do is move like terms to the same side.

4-3x=2x-11

4+11=2x+3x

Signs get switched when moved.

Then you combine the like terms.

4+11=2x+3x

15=5x

Do a quick little switch of sides (this doesn't effect anything in the equation, just makes it easier to look at)

5x=15

Then to get rid of the exponent on the variable (the 5 in front of the x) you divide out the exponent on BOTH SIDES

(Remember what you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other)

5x=15

x=3
