-SUBJECT COMPLIMENTS-

Sentence: “He felt tired after many hours in the gym.“
——
My personal Knowledge: I understand that “He” in this sentence is the subject, and “in the gym” is a prepositional phrase, along with “after many hours.”, felt is the past form of feel which is a linking verb, tired is an adverb or something. So is there a Subject Compliment? <3

Answer:

The Subject Compliment would be the word "tired"

Step-by-step explanation:

Tired is the way he is feeling and from my understanding of subject compliments, it should describe what the subject is or how the subject is feeling. Also, the subject compliment always follows a linking verb, in this case the linking verb is "felt" and the word tired comes after it.
