Here;

4x +8 = -2 -2 + 5x

Now, Shift "4x" in left side and add "-2" and "-2".


8 = 5x - 4x - 4

Simplify them to get answer.


8 = x - 4


x = 8 + 4

Therefore the value of x is 12.

Check;

4x+8 = -2-2+5x

4×12+8 = -2-2+5×12

56 = 56 (True).
