I think x = 46 and y = 18. 8y - 102 is vertical to 2y + 6 so you would make them equal each other. You would solve and end up with 18. To find 3x, you would see that 8y - 102 is supplementary to it and they would have to equal 180. If you substitute 18 into 8y - 102 it would be 42. 180 - 42 is 138 so you would divide and do 138/3 which would leave you with 46.
