peter is baking cookies. The recipe calls for 3/4 cups of flour. He needs to triple the recipe. How many cups of flour will he need? need help please​

3 * (3)/(4) = (3)/(1) * (3)/(4)


(3)/(1) * (3)/(4) = \: \: (9)/(4) \: or \: \: 2 \:* (1)/(4)

Explanation:

Originally he needs 3/4 cups

If he is tripling it, he need 3 times 3/4.

You can see above since every number has a 1 under them you can write 3 as 3/1 if it make it easier dor you to understand.

Then, you multiply numerators and denominators with each other. 3 times 3 will give you 9 and 1 times 4 will give you 4.

So you got 9/4 whixh can also write as 2(times)1/4
