Answer:

Angle A = 100°

Angle B = 80°

Explanation:

Supplementary angles means angles add up to 180°.

There are only two angles given here.

Angle A and Angle B add up to 180°.

A + B = 180°

4x + (2x + 30) = 180°

4x + 2x + 30 = 180°

6x + 30 = 180°

6x = 180 - 30

6x = 150°

x = 150 ÷ 6

x = 25°

Now substitute the x value to the angles.

Angle A:

4x

4(25) = 100°

Angle B:

2x + 30

2(25) + 30

50 + 30 = 80°

Supplementary Angles:

Angles which adds up to 180°.

Given:

A = 4x

B = 2x + 30

To Find:

The measurements of A and B.

Solution:

A + B = 180°

or, 4x + 2x + 30 = 180°

or, 6x + 30 = 180°

or, 6x = 180 - 30

or, x = 150/6 = 25°

Answer:

A = 4x = 4(25) = 100°

B = 2x + 30 = 2(25) + 30 = 80°
