Helpppppppp. Scenario 1 Sammy was a normal , healthy boy. There was nothing in his life to indicate that he was in any way different from anyone else. When he completed high school he obtained a job in a factory where he operated a large machine press. One day his hand got caught in the press and was cut off. It was replaced with an artificial hand that looked and operated almost like a real hand. 1a. At this point in time would Sammy be classified a living or non living thing 1b. Answer:

Sammy would be considered a living thing.

Step-by-step explanation:

While his hand was cut off and replaced, his brain was still intact. One isn't considered dead until their brain has died. Hence the term "brain-dead".
