You can see that each time a side is added, 180 is added to the sum of degrees.

But since you start with 3 sides, you need to subtract that from your number that you are going to plug in.

you also start with 180 degrees, so you have to add that to the other 180 that is always added on

(dont know if any of that made sense)

180+180(n-3)
