A pest is an animal that wont leave humans alone, in my opinion. Some characteristics of pests are that they have adapted to life with humans, and thrived. And yes it is okay to kill some like mice and cockroaches, but not if they are intelligent like crows. We shouldn't kill crows because we could make them into helpers like picking up trash, search and rescue, but they wouldn't rescue they would just search, and they could help locate electricity breaks, so the people could fix it faster.
