if u add 2 negatives you will get a positive

Explanation:

If the signs are the same, add the numbers then use the sign of the bigger number.

Example: -25-15=-45

If the signs are different, subtract the smaller number from the larger number, then use the sign of the larger number

Example: -25+15=-10
