What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (-4,5) and is perpendicular to the line 4x+y=7?

subtract 4x from the left hand side. that would make y= -4x+7. the slope is -4, the perpendicular slope is 1/4. use point slope formula to figure out the equation. ( y-5=1/4(x+4) which would equal y=1/4x +6)
