let’s say at the first point where x = 1

Value of function will be y = 8 * 1 = 8

At second point 2;

y = 8 * 2 = 16

Difference between each successive term is 16-8 = 8

We can see that the third term

is the first term + 16, so the fourth will be first term + 32

So this means by adding, then 16, then 32( multiples of 8)
