The Pilgrims and Puritans left their home country and sailed to the new world in search of freedom from Religious persecutions. In the new world, they set up a charter in allowing choice (note: specific religions) religion, to be free in the New World. However, it is important to note that native religions and certain European & African religions were still not accepted within these communities.
