Students will develop their reading and writing skills through extensive analysis of
various texts.
Students will review how to interpret, analyze, and criticize challenging, diverse texts
to hone the critical thinking skills required in both academic and professional settings
("College & Career Readiness").
In Q1, our focus will be: Summarization Skills, Inferences, Quotations & Paraphrases,
Argumentative Writing, and Expanding Knowledge of Academic Vocabulary.
Students will complete a Practice SAT each quarter which will be graded solely on
completion.
