Which would be the most engaging opening to a narrative about the time an author got lost in the grocery store as a child?

A) None of these choices would be an engaging opening to this narrative essay.
B) When I was a child, I once got lost in the grocery store. It was very scary for me and for my mom, but she eventually found me. Now I am going to write about it and try to tell everybody what it felt like.
C) When I was a child, I once got lost in the grocery store. It turned out that I had wandered down the wrong aisle in search of my favorite breakfast cereal while my mom doubled back to pick up a loaf of bread that fallen from the cart. I was glad she found me.
D) When I was a child, I once got lost in the grocery store. I'd been begging for weeks to buy the latest new cereal that I thought would make me as strong as a superhero, and I'd found it! Just as my chest swelled as I just knew I would soon be able to fly, I looked around to realize that I had no idea where my mother was.
