How many milliliters of pure acid must be added to 100 milliliters of a 10% acid solution in order to obtain a 20% acid solution.

Answer:

22.5

Explanation:

0.80x=10 divide each side by 0.80

x=12.5 ml-----------------amount of pure acid needed

12.5+10=0.20(100+12.5)=0.20(112.5)

22.5=22.5
