Shading helps the drawing look more realistic by showing where the light is reflecting from or where the shadow is. Shading makes your drawings pop out, or look like there 3D.
You can easily shade a circle. By shading the circle, you make the circle look as if it’s real. You could easily make things look realistic by shading and making sure it looks like you know where the light reflects from. On the opposite side is where the shadow would be.
