And equation is a mathematical sentences with an equal sign. An inequality is a mathematical sentences in which contaibs with <, >, ≤ ≥≠. A real life example would be: Madeline has $45.Sep 18, 2017

an equation is a mathmatic expression that has equal signs and an inequality has inequaluty signs example y=12x is an equation and y<12x is an inequality
