A) Rotate segment AB 90 degrees counterclockwise

around (0,0). Label the corresponding point of A as G
and the corresponding point of B as H.

Answer:

G(-3, 0)

H(-2, 4)

Explanation:

Rule for the rotation of a point by 90 degrees about counterclockwise about the origin is,

(x, y) → (-y, x)

Coordinates of the extreme ends of segment A and B are,

A(0, 3) and B(4, 2)

Rotation by the given rule to find the image points,

A(0, 3) → G(-3, 0)

And B(4, 2) → H(-2, 4)

Therefore, new segments will have the extreme ends at G(-3, 0) and H(-2, 4)
