What is the name of the group that remains untreated throughout the
duration of an experiment?

Answer: Control Group

This group does not get any treatment, but rather they get a placebo instead. For instance, in a medical experiment testing a new drug, the control group would get a sugar pill (the people in this group think they are getting the actual drug itself, and not a fake pill).

In contrast, the experimental group is the group that receives the actual treatment.

The wait list control group serves two purposes. First, it provides an untreated comparison for the active experimental group to determine if the treatment had an effect.
