So let’s say the ratio of the model length to the actual length is 2:40 = 1:20

Now , we have an actual length but we do not know the model length. Let the model length we are looking for be x;

Thus;

1/20 = x/220

Cross multiply;

20 * x = 220 * 1

20x = 220

x = 220/20

x = 11 feet
