Answer: Fish Eggs
Step-by-step explanation:
Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca was one of the first Europeans to explore inland America when in 1528 he landed in Texas. Misfortune befell him and his crew however and they were forced to endure hardships for 8 years as they travelled the land trying to get back to familiar settlements.
They met quite a number of Indian tribes some hostile and some friendly. Cabeza de Vaca recorded details about the Indians they met in his journal and one of the tribes they met were the Yguazes who ate roots and to a lesser extent deer and fish. If they were hungry enough however they would eat ant eggs, worms, lizards, dirt and even deer dong.
He did not however, record that they ate fish eggs.
