Population growth happens when someone dies or a birth happens—making the population more or less prominent. The more developed the people, the more the environment becomes affected. The population wears certain clothes and eats certain things. For instance, people have removed trees to build houses, apartments, railroads, highways, dams, and other things people use daily.
Another way population growth affects the environment is that the people use the resources around them depending on where they live. If someone lived in a rivered area, they would consume more of what that environment provides, whether it's fish or fruit. It all depends on the environment. Also, the growth of the population can have a good effect or a harmful effect on the environment. Some changes that happen to the environment can have unexpected results that can benefit or harm the environment. With the growth of the population, more food is required. This makes the people start cutting down the forest and opening up space for more agricultural land to produce enough food.
As a result, forests get destroyed by the dying out of many animals in the area, and large-scale erosion occurs. Another noticeable change has been the increased temperature and decrease in precipitation.
As the times change and the area starts to industrialize, numerous factories open up, and even more people flock into the area. Some factories contribute to extensive pollution of the air and water. Some focused on making goods from agricultural products, so agriculture increased even more.
