What are the differences and similarities of smooth, skeletal, and cardiac muscles??

Answer:

Cardiac and skeletal muscle are both striated in appearance, while smooth muscle is not. Both cardiac and smooth muscle are done without will or conscious control while skeletal muscle is voluntary (in control). While skeletal muscles are arranged in regular, parallel bundles, cardiac muscle connects at branching, irregular angles, called intercalated discs.
