How did the Enlightenment and the Great Awakening influence slavery?

Before there was slavery, there was domestic slavery at homes which started the main idea.

Explanation: This happened during the Enlightenment, I'm pretty sure people went along with this idea since Enlightenment thinkers were known to be "wise" (although slavery obivously isn't wise). I hope this helps a little bit, keep in mnd my explanation probably isnt the best lol
