We know that distance between any 2 points is equal to:-


\sqrt{{(x(2) - x(1) )}^(2) + ({y(2) - y(1))}^(2) }

So using the above formula ,


\sqrt{ {( - 2 - 2)}^(2) + {(2 - 5)}^(2) }


= > \sqrt{ {( - 4)}^(2) + {( - 3)}^(2) }


= > √(16 + 9)


= > √(25) = 5
