Assuming you’re solving for the total mechanical energy, you use the following equation:

total mechanical energy=KE+PE
KE = (1/2)mv^2
=(1/2)x8x20^2=1600 J
PE= mgh
g≈10 m/s^2

=8x10x85=6800 J


total mechanical energy =1600+6800=8400 J
