Explanation:


(3)/(5) +(5)/(10)

We can "lengthen" 3/5 by multiplying both the top and bottom number with 2.

It'll still be the same fraction, but we'll get 10 at the bottom.


(3)/(5) =(3*2)/(5*2)=(6)/(10)

This gives us 10 at the bottom, which means we can now add it to 5/10.


(6)/(10) +(5)/(10)=(11)/(10)=1.1

Answer: 1.1 or 11/10
