  • Given - John writes
    \underline{\: 2(1)/(3)}\\pages in an hour

  • To find - number of pages he can write in
    \underline{5(1)/(7)}\\hours

this question can be easily solved by using unitary method ~

number \: of \: pages \: he \: can \: write \: in \: 1 \: hour = 2 (1)/(3) \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: (7)/(2) \: pages \\ \\ \\ \therefore \: number \: of \: pages \: he \: can \: write \: in \: 5 (1)/(7) hours \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: (7)/(2) * 5 (1)/(7) \\ \\ \longrightarrow (\cancel7)/(2) * (36)/(\cancel7) \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: 18 \: pages

hope helpful ~
