Answer:

2x -4/5 = x + 4

2x -4 /5× 5 = 5(x +4)

2x -4 = 5x +20

2x -4+4 = 5x +20+4

2x = 5x +24

2x -5x = 5x-5x+24

-3x = 24

-3x/-3 = 24/-3

x = -8
