PTSD is a disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. It can last months or years. It comes with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions.

Symptoms are: Nightmares, unwanted memories of the trauma, heightened reactions, anxiety, depressed mood.

It’s actually very common more than 3 million cases US cases per year it is treatable by medical professionals it requires a medical diagnosis.

Therapy that can help are Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, Exposure therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy
The medication is Antidepressants.
