So the distance between two points formula is :
c= the square root of (x1-x2)^2 + (y1-y2)^2
Therefore ...
(8-2)^2 + (2-9)^2
6^2 + (-7)^2
36+49= 85
Square root of 85= 9.22 approx.
Hence, the distance between the two points is 9.22
