Let's say that there are 8 people and 1 person gets a virus.

The probability of a virus is 1/8 = 0.125 = 12.5%

This is one example showing how we can end up with a decimal value in the percentage. I can see why Jaycee doesn't think it's realistic, but it turns out decimal values happen a lot in probabilities.

Answer:

Jaycee is incorrect, because the 12.5 viruses that come in every 100 downloads is just the average viruses calculated from a certain number of viruses. Also, viruses can sometimes be hard to spot, and so downloading one by accident actually has a possibility of occurring. And a virus is meant to steal information stored on your computer, therefor obviously making them very dangerous as one could have important and personal information stored on personal computers. It is extremely immature to disregard the fact that somebody could be sitting at his/her desk in real time and be consumed in the process of stealing you bank account information. Therefor, Jaycee is (extremely) incorrect and should take extra precaution when surfing the web to avoid viruses and other malware.
