Explanation:

When making an improper fraction, you have to do the number on the outside times the bottom number of the fraction. So 7 x 10 is 70. Then we add the top number of the fraction, 70+9 = 79. You keep the bottom number (10) the same and put 79 on top. Leaving you with 79/10
