Answer:

Altamira is a cave system in northern Spain that was inhabited and decorated by ancient people for thousands of years. It is renowned for prehistoric parietal cave art featuring charcoal drawings and poly-chrome paintings of contemporary local fauna and human hands. The earliest paintings were applied during the Upper Paleolithic, around 36,000 years ago. Altamira is famous for rock engravings, drawings and poly-chrome paintings of animals and abstract shapes. The roof of the chamber is covered with paintings and engravings. For example, the bison figures that dominate were first engraved inside of the cave.
