The answer is C
Let X represent number of people that came in for a cut
And Y represent number of people that came In for a cut and comb
X +Y =7…equation 1

The total amount for people who came in for a cut ($)= 35 * X
=35X
The total amount for people who came in for a cut and comb is ($)=120 *Y
=120Y
I.e(in $) 35X + 120Y =500….equation 2 …. We have gotten our answer her which is C

But if you want to go further

…from equation 1
X=7-Y ……….equation 3
Y=7 -X ….equation 4

Substitute equation 3 and 4 into equation 2

35(7-Y) + 120(7-X)= 500
245- 35Y +840 -120X =500
1085 -35 Y -120X =500
-35Y -120X =500 - 1085
-35Y - 120X =-585
Divide all through by(-5)
7Y + 24X =117….this is the final equation
