5/2x - 3 = 2

(subtract the three)

5/2x = 5

(multiply both sides by 2/5 so that the fraction can get cancelled out and the x is by itself)

x = 5 x 2/5 so 2

Answer:

x = 2

Explanation:

Given

(5)/(2) x - 3 = 2 ( add 3 to both sides )

(5)/(2) x = 5 ( multiply both sides by 2 to clear the fraction )

5x = 10 ( divide both sides by 5 )

x = 2
