area= breadth*length

length = 2 breadth --equation 1

(the length of the rectangle is twice the breadth)

128m^2= breadth*2 breadth

128m^2= 2 breadth^2

breadth^2= 128/2m^2

breadth^2=64m^2

taking square root on both sides


√(breadth^2)=
√(64m^2)


√(breadth^2)=
√((8m)^2)

breadth= 8m (cancelling square root with power 2

put breadth in equation 1

length= 2*8

length= 16

CHECK:

area of rectangle = breadth * length

area= 8*16

area=128
