The battles of Lexington and Concord were the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. The American Revolutionary War was fought between Britain and the American colonies. The Americans were victorious in this revolution which lead to Declaration of Independence that caused the founding of the United States of America. So these battles were significant to America’s history because they lead to the birth of a new independent country.
